Intimate Wedding at Historic Posthouse Inn in Charleston, SC

Morgan and Tyler’s Valentine’s Day wedding is the perfect mix of intimacy, creativity, and personal flair. With 10 years of love and commitment behind them, Morgan and Tyler's wedding day embodied family, connection, and joy—while staying true to their personalities and passions. When I sat down with Morgan to discuss their plans, she said "I just want to eat oysters and drink champagne with my family on my wedding day," and they did just that! Their laid-back yet meaningful approach to their wedding was all about the love they share and the joining of their families.

The venue, The Rose Room at the Post House Inn in Mt. Pleasant, SC, was the perfect setting for the family celebration. The rose-colored accents of the space created a romantic backdrop for the couple’s vows and seated dinner. A rose themed room for a Valentine's Day wedding?! It was the perfect blend of charm, elegance, and warmth.

Morgan, an artist, designed the day’s details and contributed her personal touch by hand-painting oyster shells as place cards and creating vintage napkins with embroidered initials as keepsakes for guests. It’s these thoughtful, creative elements that set this wedding apart.

We had a photography session the evening before exploring downtown Charleston — which is just across a bridge (about 10 min) from the Post House Inn. The goal was to highlight some of the couple’s favorite spots around the city such as Basic Kitchen, Charleston Artist Collective and the rooftop of Market Pavilion Hotel, showing off their deep connection to the charming town of Charleston, SC.

You will connect with Morgan and Tyler’s story, not just because of the stunning details, but because of how authentically their personalities shine through every part of their celebration. It’s a perfect example of how creativity, romance, and personalization can come together in a way that feels fresh and genuine.
