Wing’s Neck Lighthouse wedding in the Spring.

Chelsea and Dave, with the help of Jyl Deering of Deering Events, planned an intimate and beautiful day at Wing’s Neck Lighthouse in Pocasset, Cape Cod. It was a crisp day at the end of May, about 65 degrees with overcast skies. The lighthouse is available as an Airbnb rental that allows events of this kind. It was such an amazing find! After their ceremony, I took the couple into the lighthouse for some unique portraits, and then when the sun was setting we climbed on some rocks at the water’s edge to catch the orange and pink sky.

  • There are rain protector kits out there but I usually just grab a plastic grocery bag and wrap it around my camera body. There is no way to ensure you won’t get rain drops on your lens, but I think it adds texture and complexity to the images. In this gallery, you can see a few rain drops landed on my lens during the ceremony.

  • I flew into Boston and rented a car to drive to the wedding venue.
